The Rime of the Ancient Mariner by Samuel Taylor Coleridge is an epic narrative poem about a mariner who recounts his harrowing sea voyage. After killing an albatross, he faces supernatural punishment, ultimately learning about guilt, redemption, and respect for nature. Here, they have been beautifully illustrated by Gustave Doré with wood-block prints.

This download features 40 hi-res images which we have scanned from a facsimile copy of the book. The images are in JPEG format, all 600dpi and range in size from 5124 pixels wide to 7176 pixels tall.
