{"title":"Lewis, John Hardwicke","description":"\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eJohn Hardwicke Lewis (1842-1927)\u003c\/strong\u003e was born in Hyderabad, India, in 1842.  He first studied painting with his father, Frederic Christian Lewis, and continued in Paris with Thomas Couture.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHe married Ellen Louisa Andrews, daughter of the late Rev Dr. W.
